TEAC releases the Reference 500 Series Stereo Power Amplifier AP-507

Straight from Tokyo Japan the new AP-507 is the latest component from their sprawling 500 series. And I’m here for it.

From off reviewing the UD 507, DAC Preamplifier and Headphone Amplifier, A component that is as flexible as it is competant I’ve been itching to get my hands on one of their ampliifers. This looks to be the one to get. This Reference 500 series compact stereo power amplifier features a Hypex NCOREx® TEAC custom module. And it’s available in black and sliver finishes,

In addition to being compact (TEAC makes sure to mention the compact A4 “letter size” footprint), it’s designed for flexibility, the AP-507 can be used bi-amp mode or high-power BTL mode (350W/8 ohms). Its compact size and versatility also make it an excellent choice for enhancing AV surround sound systems. Something I totally plan on doing should I get a hold of one.

TEAC Custom NCOREx® Power

The tuned "NCOREx®" power amplifier module manufactured by Hypex in the Netherlands is advanced “x” generation NCORE technology which is said to deliver an immersive, three-dimensional soundstage and a more expansive spatial presence. And it’s built around a dual-mono buffer amplifier, with close attention paid to component and circuit detail for ‘unparalleled clarity and richness’.

Here’s the rest of the press release:

Encased in a robust chassis, the AP-507 features a 2.8mm thick semi-floating aluminum top plate and an innovative 3-point Stress-Less Isolation Foot system. This precision-engineered design minimizes vibrations, creating a more open and natural listening experience.
